Seth Godin unexpectedly wrote about my e-book today, and the response has been amazing. First, it became today’s most talked about Slideshare e-book on Twitter, and the second most talked about e-book on Facebook.
The Portland and Seattle screenings
I was delusional last week. I legitimately thought I’d be able to take a break from the internet while on tour. Well, that’s clearly not gonna happen. I can already tell from just two screenings that there are going to be waaaay too many things I’ll want to write about.

Tomorrow, I’m flying out to Portland for the first two screenings on the I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell tour. I’ll be doing a lot of filming and editing, setting up equipment, etc. You’ll be able to see footage I shoot/edit here.

Initial reactions to RPGrad
Overall, I’ve been thrilled with the reception of Recession-Proof Graduate. It’s been downloaded and read by a few thousand people, and nearly all of the feedback has been positive and appreciative. To all those who read the first version of the book, thanks.

Several of you have emailed me, saying, “I noticed you tag a lot of articles as ‘rpgrad’ in Delicious. What does that mean?” Well, here’s your answer: I’ve written an e-book called “Recession-Proof Graduate.”
Fail cheap
A friend of mine was telling me how he wanted to leave his part-time job so he could go to film school and become a video editor. I asked if he’d ever done any editing before, and he said, “No, but I think it’d be a lot of fun." Kill me now.
How I got into video editing
ESPN’s “Images of the Century” catalyzed my interest in video editing. I must have watched it 100 times back in high school. I remember showing it to several of my friends, and being amazed that this video could give all of us goosebumps.

I got two calls from the Youtube celeb, Mr. Chi-City, last week. I emailed him my phone number after he posted on Twitter that he wanted to talk to some of his fans. Apparently, almost 700 people emailed him with their numbers… and he called all of us. Twice.
